Our Niece is here!!

Mary Hollis arrived today, June 25, 2009 at 2:01pm. She weighed 8 lbs. 12 oz. and was 20 inches long. Mommy and baby (Daddy too!) are doing great!!

This is what baseball is all about...

I know I have said it before but Will has the best baseball coaches around. Frank Scarbrough, Chris Huner, Jeff Hollis, and Wally Lowery see the big picture!! They are teaching Will so much more than baseball and I appreciate it. This article tells it all. It ran in last weeks edition of The Messenger. The City of Troy is raising money to build a Miracle Field for disabled children so they can also fullfil their dream of playing baseball just like our kids. Each team member on Will's tournament team is taking pledges for every hit they make. What ever amount that team member makes will be donated to The Miracle Field in their honor. If you would like to help Will or you know someone or a business that would like to help, please let me know. Thanks for your support and thanks coaches for being such GREAT role models for our boys!!

Baseball Season is finally over...

Well regular season that is! Tonight Ben had his last T-ball game which is our last T-ball game ever!!! Woo Hoo!!! We have been in T-ball for 5 years in a row and thank God we are done! We had 3 boys playing this year on 3 different teams and we made it through the season!! I really wondered how we would do it and really it wasn't all that hard! Next year will be a different story, Will moves up a league and they play on the other side of town!!
Will started his 5th year playing ball this here with the Pre-Minor White Sox. He batted 4th and played 1st base. His batting average for the season was a .806!! He received the high batting average award for his team!! Will was also chosen as 1 of 12 players to be on the post season tournament team!! We are so proud!!








Drew started his 4th year playing baseball and his 2nd year with the Farm League Red Sox! Drew is a great hitter and so he moved up and down on the line up. Most of the time I think he batted 3rd. Sometimes 5th and 6th. I am not sure what his batting average was because they didn't keep up with it, but every game our coach gave a game ball to one player that played good. Drew got the ball 2 times!! He played around in the infield between short stop, 2nd base and even the pitcher position at times. Drew was also chosen as one of the top Farm League players to be on the post season tournament team. He is so excited that he gets to play in his own tournament!! We are so proud of him!!






Ben finished his last year in T-ball playing with the Braves!! He will move up next year and play with the Farm League Red Sox I hope! He had a great season. He had some great hits and made several "outs" at 1st base. I am so excited that he finally gets to play real baseball! This year was also Jason's last year to be a head coach. It is just too difficult to coach 1 and not all 3. I think maybe he will become official bookkeeper for their teams!!

Please enjoy your summer and time at the beach!! My summer has started and I will spend it at the ball field!! I long for the beach and hope after Drew's tournament I can go with Drew, Ben and Kate! Think of me please so maybe I can feel like I am at the beach too!!!
