Happy Halloween!
What a great time we had! We started early to try and avoid the crowd that bombards our neighborhood. We took our annual hayride around the neighborhood and began in the front of the neighborhood and worked our way back to our house. The hayride was full of cowboys, princesses, super heroes, recon commando officers, a lady bug and Little Bo Peep with her sheep!!
What a Busy Week we have had!!
Wow! Can not even believe we made it through the week! Really I should say 2 weeks but...Friday, October 23 I took the boys to Birmingham to see Miley Cyrus in concert. We bought the tickets on a whim back in June. We could only get 4 so Jason stayed home with Kate! We met some of Will's friends up there and ate before the concert. We had really good seats I thought, we were in the upper section but right in front of the stage. I of course forgot that I couldn't see from far away and forgot to bring my glasses in!! Thank God the show was shown on a big screen as well!! I also didn't take any pictures because my good camera was getting fixed. The boys said they enjoyed it even though they didn't get all excited. I guess that is the difference between girls and boys! Drew asked for earplugs and wanted to know when the girls were going to stop screaming!!! LOL!!! Will was way too serious and Ben wanted to get up and dance but his brothers wouldn't dance with him so he wouldn't either! Ben did fall asleep half way through, I can't believe he was able to sleep through it!! We saw a lot of people we knew when we were leaving the concert! I think everybody was there!! 
We drove home after the concert because the next day was Troy University Homecoming and the boys were in the parade that morning. This was the 1st Troy Homecoming Parade they have been in! They rode on the MVP Training Center/Camp Butter and Egg float. This is where the boys go to baseball camp in the summer and baseball lessons during the off season!! It was the coolest float! I sat on the VIP reviewing stand with Jason for the 1st year in probably 8 years. I stopped sitting with him when Will was born because I wanted to be able to enjoy the parade with the boys. But since they were in it this year Kate and I sat with him. She had a ball and enjoyed it! It was a little cool but was nice compared to sweating like we usually do! We tailgated and then went to the game. Me and the little boys and Kate left since we couldn't watch the Alabama game in the stadium club. 
The week was as busy as always baseball lessons, tumbling tots for Kate, church, spent all day at school on Thursday volunteering and Friday were Halloween Parties at school for the boys. 
Friday night we took the kids Trick-or-Treating at Mama Sally and Gramps' since Troy has a home game on Saturday and we would never be able to get to their house with all the game traffic. They all had a great time! 
The busy week isn't yet over but Halloween and Drew's birthday party get their own posts!!

The Happiest Place on Earth!!!
October Break has come and gone and so has our trip to Disney World. The reservations had been made 7 months in advance and we thought it would never get here. The entire Colquett/Reeves family went! Party of 18...Bibbie, Deeda, Elizabeth, Brett, Lacey, Walker, Neemama, Papa, John, Amy, Will, Mary Hollis, Me, Jason, Will, Drew, Ben and Kate! We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in the new villas at Kidani Villiage. We had 3 2bedroom villas. They were sooooo nice. It was just like being at home! The view from our room was wonderful, giraffes, zebras and many other animals!
We spent our first day at Animal Kingdom. It was so hot, you would have thought that it was July instead of October! Ben and Drew were finally tall enough to ride Expedition Everest. I rode last year and it was great. This year I rode it and I thought I was dying when I got off. Thank God I made it!! Drew and Ben liked it okay. I don't know that any of us will ever ride it again. The safari ride is always a big hit. We did the stand-by line and thought we would never get there but we did. The kids and men plus Amy rode Kali River Rapids they didn't get too wet. That was about all we did and it took all day!!
Day 2 took us to Hollywood Studios. By this time, the whole family had gotten there. Ben rode the Rocking Roller Coaster. He loved it. I was surprised. I figure Drew would be the coaster loving kid but I was wrong, Everest did him in! We finally got to ride the new Toy Story ride, It is awesome!! The fastpasses go almost first thing when the park opens. We had to wait nearly all day to ride! Drew got a ticket from the Hollywood Studio police for being too tall and riding in a stroller!! I am sure it isn't going to be his 1st run in with the law!! It was too funny! Kate loved the High School Musical pep rally, she really was the star of the show!! We left for lunch and took the boat to Epcot for lunch in Canada. It was the best! If you have never eaten there while at Disney, it is a must!! We went back to HS after lunch. Everyone but me, Neemama, Amy and Papa saw the Motor Stunt show. I just don't like it. I have seen it 2 times and that was 1 too many times for me!! The boys got to see the Power Rangers and loved watching the Jedi Academy. It was a hot day too. I had to trade my capris in for a Disney skort!! Which ended up getting washed everynight so I could wear it the next day. I didn't pack shorts!!
For some reason when I was packing, I packed cough medicine, eye drops, thermometer, Tylenol and Motrin. Good thing because on day 3 Drew woke up with a fever and I woke up with a double eye infection!! Drew didn't feel bad but had a cough. We kept on going which I felt real guilty about, but we were at Disney and had paid all that money sooooo we went on to Chef Mickey's for our character breakfast! I love breakfast and the buffet at Chef Mickey's was great! The boys loved seeing the characters and Kate loved seeing them, but didn't care anything about getting close to them! She really is the cutest thing ever!!! After breakfast we took the monorail to Epcot. Ben got to ride Test Track and loved it! Soarin' is always a favorite! I didn't ride because Kate was napping and I was tired anyway! We had lunch in Mexico and Kate and Lacey had their picture made with Snow White, Jasmine and Aladdin. We ran into Pooh and Tigger in the United Kingdom. Out of all the characters, Kate was less afraid of Jasmine and Aladdin!! We headed back to the room to rest before going to Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We didn't dress up in costumes but we did have on Halloween clothes! There were plenty of people dressed up for Halloween which was a good reminder that dressing up for Halloween should only be for children!! Magic Kingdom looked so good decorated for Halloween. The kids had fun trick or treating around the park. We got to ride several rides and watched the fireworks and the Halloween Parade. The parade was awesome! We had a lot of fun but we were so tired! Never again will we plan a early character breakfast on the same day we plan to stay out late!!
On day 4, since we were up so late we decided to sleep in and then play by the pool! The pool was perfect. The kids had so much fun. None of us really want to leave the pool but we still had things to do at Magic Kingdom! By this time Kate was running fever and coughing as well as most of the rest of us! The boys got their haircut in the Magic Kingdom barber shop! The kids before them all got drew cuts and got colored hair gel in their hair. Ben was so afraid that they would do his hair that way. I assured him that they wouldn't! Kate watched the parade with Amy and Lacey right outside the shop. It was the perfect spot to watch. Kate loved it and her expressions were so cute! For dinner we took the monorail to Epcot for dinner at The Coral Reef, Epcot had magic hours so we rode some rides. I rode Spaceship Earth for the 1st time ever! In the 8 times I have been to WDW I had never been on it. I really enjoyed it!
Our last day was spent at Magic Kingdom. Kate got to ride more rides and she loved them. We were all so tired by today! Favorite rides for the boys were Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Jungle Cruise and the Haunted Mansion! Kate loved The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and It's a Small World also Dumbo and Aladdin's Magic Carpet! She also rode Pirates of the Caribbean! We had fast passes for Peter Pan but she fell asleep! I can hardly wait until our next trip! I don't know when it will be but I bet Kate will be into the princesses when we go and hopefully she will be a little taller so she can ride Soarin and Goofy's Barnstormer! I guess you know by now the our family LOVES Disney World!

Twenty years ago this year Jason and I were Seniors in high school. We had been best friends since junior high school and been on 1 date. Our 1 date was to our junior prom! Most every one of our friends believed we dated but didn't want to tell anyone. So not true!! We had a great love/hate relationship. Anytime he had a girlfriend I made life miserable for him and anytime I had a boyfriend he was way too over-protective! I can say it was great having him as a best friend and even better now that we still are best friends. It is great to look back at all the pictures we have together when we were "young"! The boys love to look at them! And one day I look forward to telling them "our story"! I hope for them the same happiness that Jason and I have all these many year later!!

Children's Sabbath
Today was Children's Sabbath at our church and our children are included in just about every aspect of the service as possible. The boys were greeters today and sang in church. Kate was apart of the cradle roll and Drew was presented his Bible. The Blount Family gives all of our 2nd graders in church their own student bible. The dedicate them in Memory of Mr. Blount. He was so excited to get his own Bible! This is him and his one of his best friends, Cole!

Dream Fields Farm and Pumpkin Patch
Every year now for the last 4 years we have taken the kids to the pumpkin patch to pick their own pumpkins. We usually go all the way to Clanton, AL to the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch but last year Dream Field Farms opened outside of Union Springs and so we decided to give it a try this year. It was GREAT! There are always SO many people in Clanton that you can't hardly get around and get paranoid if one of your children get out of sight. We went late in the afternoon and the crowd was nice, and everything was all in the same area so all the boys didn't have to do the same thing at the same time. They had inflatables, rubber duck races, pedal tractor races, hay bales for climbing, corn maze, small animals for feeding, and pig races!! They also had a learning area where they taught the kids our to make butter!! Oh, and the cow train ride which was the cutest thing ever!! We then took a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkin! They play some cute music on the ride which Will was too cool for but Kate loved it!! It was a great afternoon and we finished it off in the gift shop with yummy snacks! I had homemade red velvet cake and it was the best I think I have ever had!! If you are there for the entire day they do have lunch available! I do highly recommend Dream Field Farms and Pumpkin Patch, it is a great place to spend the day with family and friends!!
