Sub District Champs

Will's team started Sub-District play in Eufaula. We played Eufaula and Enterprise Americans. We went into the Championship game undefeated to play Enterprise. They beat us the 1st game to force a 2nd game. During the 1st game Will got a clean double to the fence. His next at bat Enterprise intentionally walked him. That made me really mad! We lost that one by 1. During the 2nd game, Will's bat was on fire. This time I guess they forgot what a great hitter he was he slammed another double to the fence that drove in two runs putting us up. We played great defensive ball and won 9-8. That win was what we needed to win the tournament. We advance to the District tournament that begins on July 5.

AAA Rookie Tournament

Drew's team started play on the 24th. We went into a rain delay that ended up going into the next day. We were on fire when we started but lost it when we had to resume on Saturday. We got beat by Eufaula that sent us into the loser's bracket to Face the Troy Americans in an elimination game. Troy Americans came out on fire at were up 11-1 then in the 4th inning we came alive and scored 8 runs. Score was 11-9, we held them at 11 and came back to score 2 more to tie it. Last inning they score 2 to win the game 13-2. We were eliminated but we played a great game. It is usually hard to play against the umps and that is what ended up happening. We had a great time and made new friends! Drew had a great game, got 1 hit and scored 2 times and stop many of balls in the outfield. I am so proud of him!

Miracle Field Opening Ceremonies

Two years ago, Will's Pitching Machine All-Star team played for the Miracle League. The Lion's Club had been raising money for the City of Troy's very own Miracle field so all children could enjoy playing the game of baseball. Our team got sponsors to donate a certain amount of money for every hit they got during their tournament. We ended up raising almost $6200. And what makes this even more special for me is that Will has been in the same homeroom with one special little boy for 2 years and has been waiting on the completion of this field. Well, tonight, his dream finally came true! He got to play play baseball just like his brothers and friends. Our team from 2009 was asked to be a part of the opening ceremonies and be buddies for the team members. Will and Brock were Sheldon's buddies and I have never been more proud of Will than I was on this night. To see him there by Sheldon's side and sharing this moment with him is one that I will always remember!

Post Season Baseball is here!!

Post season baseball is here and all 3 boys made an All Star team! Ben will play with the Troy Coach Pitch Americans, Drew will play for the Troy AAA Nationals Rookie Team and Will is playing for the Troy AAA Nationals 9-10 year old team. Practice started almost as soon as the regular season ended. They practiced every week night and Ben even had some 2 a days! Our first tournament was a warm up tournament that took place on June 17-18. It was in Enterprise and it was a hot one! Ben started on Friday night with a game against the Enterprise Americans, we beat them with no problem. On Saturday, our day started off watching Will at 9:00. He won his 1st game and we went over to watch Ben play again at 10:30. He lost, and played again at 1:30, They lost again. We headed back over to the other park to watch Will's 2nd game, which he lost. Finally at 4:15 Drew played his 1st game and lost, turned around and played his 2nd game at 6 and won! I think we got home by 10 that night! It was a long hot day but I enjoyed every minute of it! I love watching my boys play baseball!!
