Memorial Day Weekend

School's out, baseball is over (for a few days) so off to the beach we went! It was a family affair and I left my camera at home. The kids had a great time fishing and swimming and Deeda even got out the big boat and we spent Saturday boating and swimming. The boys had a blast jumping off the front of the boat into the water! I think Drew was even flipping! We went to The Hangout so Drew could show his stuff on the trampoline! He amazes me!

Awards Day

Today the boys made me very proud! It was awards day at school and all 3 of them received the All A award for the year! What an accomplishment! I certainly can say they get it all from their daddy!! Drew also was #7 in Accelerated Reader out of the entire 3rd grade class and also got the Physical Fitness award. Once again, we had a wonderful year at TES! The teachers are top notch and the boys are getting a great education! A very special thank you goes out to their teachers, Mrs. Tate, Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Dunn. Thanks for a great year!

For the past 4 years the boys have had Mrs. Tate. Yes, 4 years. When she promoted Will to 2nd grade after teaching him in 1st she moved on up with him! Then she taught Drew and Ben. She has been so wonderful. I can hardly imagine the year next year without going to her class on the first day of school! Thanks Mrs. Tate for taking care of my boys and getting ready to be successful 3rd graders!! You are awesome and WE LOVE YOU!!!

Drew makes Top 10 for AR for the year

This year Drew made so much progress with his reading and 3 of of the 4 9 weeks of school was in the Top 10 for Accelerated Reader. I have never pushed my boys to do AR because it takes all we have to get all our school work done so this was something Drew did totally on his own! The reward for the Top 10 readers is a trip to the Biscuits game in Montgomery. Drew went and had a blast! Me nor his dad could go with him so Mr. Steven was his adopted dad for the day! He did a great job sending pictures during the day to let us know how much fun they were having! Besides the Biscuits game, his teacher Mrs. Evans took all the kids in her class with over 100 point to Pizza Hut for dinner! They had a lot of fun! I am so proud of Drew's accomplishments! This is something he got to do 1st! He finish #7 out of the whole 3rd grade! Way to Go Drewby!!

Kate's End of the Year Program

Tonight was Kate's end of the Year Program at Park. She was all about it and told me she was going to sing her songs. I didn't hold my breath! She did go on stage but without singing. At least she didn't cover her face like she did last year. Her daddy, Will and Drew had a ballgame so they had to miss the program. She had a great year. She loved Mrs. Aaron her teacher and I am so glad. Since I went back to work this year I was a little worried about her. I don't know what we will do without Mrs. Aaron next year. She really took such good care of my baby girl and I will never be able to repay her! Kate met a lot of new friends this year! It is so nice when your child is happy to go to school and is upset when she doesn't get to go play with her friends. I know she will be ready for school to start back so she can play with them again. I can hardly believe she has finished her 2nd year in preschool and in only 2 years she will be at school with me! She is growing up too fast!

Mother's Day

Today we celebrated Mother's Day going to Church and spending time with family. After Church we took Mama Sally to eat at Mikata! It was a first for her and she loved it! It is one of my favorite places to eat so I loved it too! Jason and the kids surprised me with some really nice gifts! My favorite was my Honesty bracelet from Glow. Usually Drew talks Jason into Walgreen's for shopping but now since Aunt Lizzy works at Glow my gifts are a lot better! LOL So, thanks Lizzy for helping them out! Though the best gift of all is being the mother to Will, Drew, Ben and Kate! They truly complete me and even though most days they make me crazy, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love them more and more every day and I am so proud of the children they are growing up to be. Thank you Lord for giving me these 4 children! They make my job as a mother the best!

I am also thankful for having the best mother ever. I don't know where I would be today with out her. I am glad I never put up too big of a fight when it came to her making me do the things I didn't want to do. I know now that she always knew best and still does. Thank you mama for everything you do for me! I love you more than words can say!

"How Does Your Garden Grow"

Each year at our school our Music teacher has one grade perform a play. When Will was in 2nd Grade his class did one, Ben did it last year in 1st grade so this year was 3rd grade's turn and that meant it was Drew's turn too! This year the play was a farm theme which was just perfect! He had a small part in the play as a weed! Yes a weed!! I had one line to say! Just right for him! His buddy Joel was the main character and he was Herb! Cole was a weed with him as well as most of his other friends in his class. They had a great time and did a great job! The costumes were very creative and when they are seniors in high school and we bring out the pictures they are going to be mortified!
The set was designed by Mrs. Blocher and our creative Art Teacher Jennifer Lindsey. They both amaze me with what they can do! They are both a wonderful asset to our school!
