Well, today was the last day of summer and we really didn't do anything special. I feel bad about that now. I didn't really think about it being the last day of summer until right now as I sit and type this. I had a meeting this morning with Mr. Henderson, our new principal at the boys school. Then I got the kids and we met everybody for lunch since John made it home last night. He has been gone since March and we were so glad that he is back. After lunch, the boys went to meet their teachers and drop off school supplies. I know I am probably the only mom taking pictures of her 4th grader with his teacher as they go through his supplies. I just may take pictures of him when he is buying his locker at the middle school!! Anyway, we started off with Ben. The youngest always goes 1st. This year Ben is in the 2nd grade, Mrs. Tate is his teacher and she has taught both of the other boys. She actually taught Will 2 years. She taught Will in 1st grade and then moved to 2nd grade when Will moved to 2nd grade so he was lucky to have her 2 years! This will be my 4th and final year with her until Kate goes, I just hope Mrs. Tate hasn't retired by then!! Ben wasn't at all interested in unpacking his supplies. He was interested in his goody bag and everything else in the classroom. Kate helped Mrs. Tate put away all of Ben's stuff!! She always does stuff like that. Maybe one day Ben will start doing things for himself. He is going to have a wonderful year, I just can't wait to see what Mrs. Tate's view is of all three Reeves' brothers!!
Drew is in the 3rd grade this year and his teacher is Mrs. Evans. I was surprised that Drew was interested in unpacking his backpack. He got everything out and and organized his desk. Wow! There is nothing about Drew that is organized so he is starting the year off good!! Drew is in class again this year with Cole and Sydney. They have been together since kindergarten. I don't really know if they would know what to do if they were not together. I guess it worked out right since Drew's teacher this year would have been Mrs. Curtis, Cole's mom, but she moved up to 4th grade. I know Mrs. Evans is going to be great for Drew, I think he is going to have a wonderful year!

I can't even believe that Will only has 2 more years in elementary school. He will be in the 4th grade this year and Mrs. Dunn is his teacher. I mean where does the time go? Am I really old enough to have a 4th grader? Will has had 4 of the most wonderful years at TES and has been blessed to have awesome teachers and this year will be no different. He will have Mrs. Curtis for Social Studies and he is excited about that since she taught him 3rd grade last year and he loved her! Will gets a big kid desk this year so he will keep all of his supplies and books in his cubby. This year will be a big adjustment since we will now be studying for science and social studies test! I think he is really going to enjoy it! I am looking forward to it! We maybe I am not! I am not looking forward to the getting up and the homework but I am ready for a routine. I need to better this year at getting up and getting them up. I am so not a morning person so that doesn't help in the least bit!! School starts on Monday for the boys and Kate's school starts on Tuesday for her. She is so excited to start back!
