TCS Art Show
Will and Ben both had art chosen for this years art show. I am amazed by their ability. There is no doubt that our school system has the Best art program. I'm also posting some of the displays at our school. They are great!
This and That
I have really gotten bad about blogging. I have been busy I guess. Since John left March 2nd, Jason and I have been to Washington, DC and the family took a weekend getaway and went to Panama City Beach to watch Will play in a Travel Ball Tournament. Jason and I also celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary on March 8th. We didn't do much celebrating though. A good friend of ours lost his wife and and 14th month old son in a tragic car accident on March 7. Jason spent most of the week helping their family and that is just what I wanted him to do. Tomorrow it will be 3 weeks since they have been gone and they are constantly in my thoughts. It is just so unbelievable. Brittany was the most beautiful girl, inside and out that I think I know. Every time I saw her she was glowing with happiness. You could tell she was living her life to the fullest. I always looked forward to her facebook posts. She was so proud of her husband and son and did a marvelous job showing it and sharing baby Shep's milestones with all of us. I miss her posts, she was always so positive and never once complained to her FB "friends" about life. Since her passing, her sister has been keeping her page going by posting her journal since the day she learned Brittany and Shep were gone. I've am doing a much better job with fighting my battles with my children and with everyday life. I am trying to use this tragic accident to make my children understand how life can be taken from you in an instant. We are working on using kind words to one another and to others because you never know when they may be the last words you say to someone. It is hard for them but we are working on it. Clint, his family and Brittany's family are always on my mind and in my prayers.
Jason's business trip couldn't have come at a better time. The Friday we left was the Friday Brittany and Shep were laid to rest. We needed to get away but it was so hard to leave the children. It was our 4th trip to DC and each time we have had a Presidential encounter, this was no different. The last day we were there we went to the Mall to take some pictures and see the new World War II monument. We walked over to the White House and they were getting it secured because the president was moving and getting ready to leave. We took our place on the sidewalk and waited. It is just so cool to watch the Presidential Motorcade! We got home on Wednesday and then left on Friday for Panama City Beach. We haven't been there in 9 years. Our 1st stop was the Boar's Head and then 1st thing Saturday morning we went down to show the kids Bibbie and Deeda's old house.
It was still the same, the only thing that was different was that there were 17 steps from the house to the sand when they built it and now there are only 13! We spend the morning at the pool and on the beach.
Will played his 1st game at 2:15. And then at 5:45. They won the 1st one and lost the 2nd one. Will didn't play so hot. We were the 3rd seed and had the 8:00 game on Sunday morning. Will pitched the best 2 innings he has ever pitched. He played great! We won the 1st game and then they just gave up and got beat in the 2nd game. Which really was ok because I went back to the beach and the pool! Panama City Beach has changed so much.
And even though I had a blast and loved every minute of it, I DON'T miss the crowds!
Rec Season starts next weekend. I can hardly wait!!
Please continue to pray for the Pugh and Shepard Families. Their faith and strength amazes me!

Bye Bye Uncle John!
Today Uncle John left for New Berlin, NY for 5 months. He works for Bonnie Plant Farms and it is now plant season. He seems just like yesterday he got back and now he is gone again! He came by early this morning to tell us bye! We will miss him so much and will be counting the days until he returns home safely!
Dr. Seuss' Birthday!
