Happy 9th Birthday Will!!

On this day 9 years ago our entire family and all of our closest friends were at Baptist Medical Center South awaiting the arrival of Will! I can remember Mama Sally saying that Will may come on Mrs. Vickie's birthday which is September 18 and I immediately said no way that is too early for him to come! Little did I know it just wasn't early enough for him!! On Friday, September 15, mom, Elizabeth, Lacey and me went to Montgomery to shop. We were gone all day and I felt great. We got home and went to Pam Ray's to a Kelly's Kids party. If any of you know Pam, she lived on 1st Ave and her house sat on a steep hill in which I climbed! Then that night I went with Billy and Richelle to the Half Shell and then we went to the CHHS football game. Still feeling Great! I got home and probably didn't go straight to bed. I was a little bit of a night owl! Well, Jason got home from work about 1 or 1:30 am and probably between 2:30 and 3 I sat straight up in bed because I thought my water had broken. It was just a little bit so I was not sure. Dr. Ashurst had told me that I would know because it would gush, go down my leg and into my shoe!! Well, since I was lying down it didn't gush. I got up, went to the bathroom and nothing more happened. Jason had just fallen asleep when that happened! I went back to bed and prayed that if this was my water breaking would He please let it gush so I would know for sure. About 5 minutes later, it gushed!!! I called the Dr. and of course Ashurst was not on call but Larussa was, he told us to come on to the hospital! So, we got up and got going. If you know Jason, you know he drives the speed limit, we were going 70 down 1st Avenue, no Lie!! We made the phone calls to our parents, Amy had a den full of friends that were spending the night! We called Elizabeth and Brett and then all of our friends! Mama Sally and Gramps were in Nashville, TN at the Opryland hotel. They had to come home from vacation early (they had just gotten there!)Everyone was at the hospital by 9am and Will took his sweet time getting here! Finally at 3:16 pm he made his entrance into this world! My sweet little miracle was here. We waited a long time and went through a whole lot to get him here but is was so worth it! He brings so much joy into our lives and We love him very much. He is everything and more we could have ever dreamed he would be!! So, Baby Will, Happy 9th Birthday!! We Love you!!!

Mom and Me

Kate began her 1st Mom and Me Tumbling Tots class tonight!! She LOVED it!! Her favorite think was the tumble track. You are suppose to bounce down it but she chose to run!! As I figured, she pitched a fit when we had to leave but got a sucker from Mrs. Monica and so the fit stopped!! Aunt Lizzie came to take her pictures, you know I have to have them!!! Will's 9th Birthday Party

We celebrated Will's 9th birthday on Saturday even though he doesn't turn 9 until Wednesday. We had a Father/Son dove shoot at the farm! Everybody had a GREAT time! There was a lot of shooting going on but not very many birds killed!! The birds were doing a very good job of dodging the bullets!! We of course celebrated again at Bibbie and Deeda's on Sunday night and will celebrate again on Wednesday, his birthday! I can't not even believe that Will is almost 9 years old. He is almost as tall as me and we wear the same size shoe! He is a BIG boy! Where does the time go? I know before I turn around he is going to be graduating from High School. Everyone, enjoy everyday. They go by so fast. Sometimes it is really hard because we wake up and as soon as my feet hit the floor I feel like we are running a million miles an hour all day. Thank God the boys didn't want to play soccer this year so we are getting a little break and we are able to stay at home a little and enjoy being a family!

Kate and Hayes' Playdate

When I found out I was pregnant with Kate, I was so excited but then worried about who her friends would be because all of my aged friends were done having babies. I was going to be the "old" mama. Well, the day I called all my friends to tell them, one of my best friends, had news for me too...she was also pregnant!! I was shocked!! She already had 3 boys just like me. Her youngest 2 are the same age as Drew and Ben. We soon found out that our due dates were about 5 weeks apart!! Thank God, another "old" mama to go through this with!! So anyway, I found out I was having and girl and she found out she was having her 4th boy. I was a little disappointed because I wanted her to have a girl too so they would be best friends but then I decided that it was okay, now we could just have an arranged marriage!! Her mom keeps Hayes and since last Friday was grandparents day at school, she had to be at school for the other boys so Hayes needed a babysitter! Kate and I were more than happy to have him! He as you can see was so not into posing for pictures with Kate! He was way too in to Barney! I did catch him smiling 1 time!! They really had a great time together. They play very well together which I guess is good since they will be married one day:)!! They are just too darn cute!!
