Praying for Stellan

Prayers for Stellan

About 6 months ago I stumbled across this blog My Charming Kids. I stayed up to date for a while and just got busy. I shared it with my friend Misty and she is consumed by it so she always keeps me up to date. Anyway, the blog is about a family with 4 children 4 and under but when I started reading it many of the post were keeping their friends and family up to date of the upcoming arrival of #4. A baby boy who they were told would not be born alive. I am not going to give you the details because you really need to go back and read for yourself here. Baby Stellan is a true miracle and anyone that doesn't believe in God should after reading his story. Anyway, Misty had ask me the other day if I had checked in on Stellan and I said no, She told me I needed to so ever since I have been consumed with his story. I do not know these people but I ask that you please pray for this family. I know God hears every prayer so please place Stellan and his family on your prayer list. Take the time to ready his story, it will warm your heart and fill it with much love, joy and hope.

Happy Anniversary Jason!!

12 years ago today I married the most wonderful man I could have ever dreamed of. We have been best friends since 8th grade and I guess deep down I have loved him since then. It wasn't until 1995 did I realize I would spend the rest of my life with him. I think he had known it since 8th grade. He has always been smarter than me!! I thank you for waiting for me to come to my senses! And Thank you for putting up with me. I know sometimes I can be real difficult and I am sorry! I thank God for bringing us together and I love you more today than I did 12 years ago!! I hope to have many, many more years together!!

More than I ever dreamed of!!

This weekend was absolutely beautiful, and I am not talking about the weather I am talking about Amy and Will's wedding! Everything was so beautiful but not near as beautiful as the bride!! We had such a wonderful time and everything went off without a hitch!! Friday night we had the rehearsal and dinner. It was just wonderful. The decorations done by Martha Lynn and Rob Drinkard and others from Jean's Flowers were awesome. I have never seen the Pines looks as beautiful as it did that night. They did a great job!!

Saturday was even better! Amy's cousins surprised her with breakfast and began to help start off her day! It was so very special! We all got to the church at noon to get ready for pictures that were taken by Wes Roberts Photography. His staff was so great and I can't wait to see all the memories he captured. He said he probably took over 2000!!! Amy was the most beautiful bride! Of course I knew she would be because she is beautiful everyday! She and Will are so lucky God brought them together. I wish them many years of happiness!! I love you both!!

My favorite picture. This was the 1st time Mama Sally saw Amy in her wedding gown! It was so sweet!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

For those of you that do not know, Dr. Seuss would have been 104 years old today. In honor of his birthday it is Read Across America Week! Ben was dressed liked The Cat in the Hat for school. Drew and Will didn't get into the dressing up part that much this year. Drew wore his hat but Will would not even do that! I guess by the time you are 8 you are too cool!! Ben was most excited about his cat tail that I made him out of Will's black baseball sock!! He was so excited this morning! Once he got to school his teacher, Mrs. Huner painted his face like a cat and gave him a bow tie! He looked so cute by the time I got there! Something special about have a dad that is a "VIP" is that he gets invited to come read to your class!! Jason has read every year to the boys classes and this year he made it to ALL 3!! His favorite Dr. Seuss book is "Green Eggs and Ham"! I of course go too so I can be the photographer. I am not that good, but you know I try to capture all things special the boys do! Both Will and Drew fell asleep coming home from school on Dr. Seuss day when they were in kindergarten but Ben didn't make it, he fell asleep during nap time at school! Mrs. Huner said it took 3 of them to wake him up! It is a busy day!! And cats do like to sleep!!

Snow, Snow, Snow

I am glad that it only snows every 7 years!! The last time we saw snow it was January 2, 2002. Will was 1 and Drew was 2 months old. The boys always ask when will it snow and well you just never know in Troy. Today Gramps woke us up at about 5 minutes until 6am. We got up and looked out the window to see snow! We woke the boys up and none of them were too excited to get up to play in it. Finally we were able to get them up and dressed and out we went! We didn't stay out long because it was too cold! We would not make it if we had to live in this stuff! We came in, had breakfast and by that time it had stopped. We got ready for church and as we are sitting in sunday school it starts again. This time blowing a lot harder than it did the first time. We even went out in it at church for a few minutes! They were a little more excited about it this time. By the time church was over, it had stopped. We got to Mama Sally and Gramp's house and while we were sitting at the dinner table down it comes again. Blowing even harder!! This time it was sticking!! We came home to get in warm clothes to play one more time. It was fun for about 5 minutes. It is just too much trouble to get all bundled up! Kate loves it. I think she just loves to be outside, she doesn't care about the weather. The boys were able to get enough snow this time to make a couple of snow balls! I will be totally glad to wait another 7 years for snow! Like I said it was fun for 5 minutes. It has finally stopped again for the 3rd time! I am hoping we are done. I don't want to have to take a snow day tomorrow!!
