Our Pet Alligator!!

Today our day started off going to Auburn to watch the middle school football team play in a jamboree and watch Lacey cheer. We were all decked out in orange and blue but I made sure the boys wore their Alabama hats to be sure no one thought we were Auburn Fans!! It was a really nice day. They tied the 1st game and lost the 2nd game. But Lacey did a fantastic job cheering!! On our way home we stopped by the farm since we didn't get up there at all hardly this summer. Papa and Uncle John were getting ready for dove season. We also visited the "pet" alligator. He showed up a couple of months ago in the pond behind the cabin. Papa and Uncle John feed him. John was actually calling him like he would call a dog!! We started off on the back deck and ended up very close down on the bank of the pond. Papa feed the gator some Kelly's hot dogs and then a small watermelon. It was quite an adventure! Below you will find some picture from our visit!!

First Day of School

So I thought today would be easier dropping the boys off at school. For the last 3 years I have dropped off a kindergartner and cried. Well today I cried when I dropped off my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grader. Who would have ever thought it? I was fine until I got on the street in from of the school and past Chris. My thoughts immediately went to Brady and how today was his 1st day of Kindergarten and the flood gates opened!! The boys were all so excited to be going to school. After we dropped them off we came home for me to get ready so Kate could go meet her teacher at Park. She had so much fun. I am sure when I drop her off tomorrow, it will be a different story! She and her buddy/boyfriend Hayes were dressed just alike!. His mom and I bought them matching outfits for the first day of school. When we walked in, one of the ladies said "look how cute...twins!" I had to break it to her that they were not twins. She still swore they looked just alike! Here are a couple of pictures from today! Hope you all have a great week!!

Big Hits for the Miracle Field of Troy

Tonight we had our baseball banquet for our tournament team and presented the check for the Miracle Field. Out team raised a little over $6100! WOW!! We are so proud of these boys! We had a great time getting back together with our baseball family! After the check presentation we ate dinner, prepared by the moms, and then we watched a slide show DVD I put together of our journey this summer. What great memories we made, memories that will last a lifetime!! Check out the article written in the Troy Messenger. You know at every "party" you have to have a favor. The boys not only got their own copy of the DVD but they also got a tournament team t-shirt and poster of themselves that was a picture taken from the tournament!

It is School Time!!!!

School starts on Monday and I couldn't be more ready! Don't get me wrong. I love being at home with the kids and wouldn't have it any other way but they are so tired of each other. When they get tired of each other then things get bad around the house! They fight about anything and everything and nothing I try to do for discipline seems to work. It is just that being together for 2 months straight gets old. They are ready to be back at school with their friends! Monday we got our teacher assignments and the boys got who they wanted!! Will will be in Mrs. Curtis' class and he has got a GREAT class. He is in there with 3 other boys he played baseball all summer with so it should be interesting!! Drew has Mrs. Tate! He too has a good little class. Mrs. Tate will surely have her hands full but I know she can handle it!! Ben, my baby Ben, has Mrs. Jordan! Walker is in his class along with another little boy they went to pre-school with. I think he is going to have a good class too, but I haven't met them all yet so I am excited to get to start volunteering so I can get to know them!! While taking our supplies, we ran into some friends so with my camera in hand I had to take pictures!! Of course this was not cool according to the boys, but I don't care!! They will be glad to have all of there pictures one day!!






































So none of us have Jennifer but you can't go to the school without a visit!!

Happy Birthday Ben!!

Okay, So I am really bad. Ben's birthday came and is gone and it just dawned on me that I did not blog about his party! What is happening to me? Ben finally turned 6 on July 28! Since he has a summer birthday all he thinks you can do is swim. So this year we had a swimming Star Wars Party! It had rained all week and had rained some on Saturday when we had is party but for the 2 hour window that I had planned his party, there was no rain!! I set everything up in the garage just incase the bottom fell out! Everybody had a great time! I can hardly believe my baby boy is 6. Where does the time go? Happy Birthday Ben! I LOVE you !!!
