Happy 9th Birthday Ben!

Another year has past and that means Ben is another year older!! My youngest son is 9 years old! The time has gone by so fast! I love watching him, he lives life to the fullest and enjoys every minute of it! Ninety percent of the time he makes me smile and the other 5 he makes me shake my head with what has come out of his mouth!! We had planned a big party down in Enterprise at the Bama Jam Farms Hillbilly Waterpark until I heard they were pulling snakes out of the water daily. I made the decision the day before the party that I could not take him and his friends down there and risk one of them getting bit be a snake! On the day of the party I called to be sure we could come to Water World in Dothan. We could and we went there and had a blast!!

Easter

Easter Traditions begin with visiting the Easter Bunny!! Will thinks he is too old to go, but I told him he will go as long as I want him to!! We always have a fun time! It is nice now that Kate isn't scared anymore!! On Saturday before Easter, We went to the Church egg hunt. This year was Will's last year to hunt eggs! Drew and Ben love to see who can get the most and it is a race to see who can find the golden egg!! Neither one of them found it this year!! Kate is still a little unsure of if she likes to hunt eggs or not. She has to check it all out before she starts! Of course she loves the candy when she is done!! After the Egg Hunt we went home to dye eggs. This is my least favorite!! It is so messy and the kids are sure they are going to get as messy as possible!! They do have fun! Drew and Ben love to take the boiled eggs and pretend they are chefs at the Japanese restaurant! I let them practice because I sure don't want them to try it with real eggs!! Kate spilled the green dye in her lap which made for a lot of work or me when she was done. I had to get her clean for her pretty Easter Dress!! I don't even remember how I got it all off, but I did! They were thrilled with all their Easter basket surprises, they played a little bit and then we got ready for church!

Baseball Season

This year baseball season will be a little hectic. The boys are all in different leagues! Ben will play Dixie Youth AA Baseball (pitching machine) at the Sportsplex, Drew will play Dixie Youth AAA Baseball and Will will play Dixie Youth O'zone baseball. They both play at Franklin. There are many nights that they all play at the same time and I have planned out the schedule where Jason is at one game I am at another but we will both get to see the boys play about the same amount of games. Ben is on the Rangers this year. He was so excited because one of his favorite players is Josh Hamilton! Drew gets to be on the same team as Walker this year and they are the Giants. Will moves up and he is on the Indians!! We are excited about a new year in rec ball!!

Travel Ball
Will's Travel ball team picks back up for the 4th year! We finally won our first tournament. Jason's and missed the Saturday of games where Will hit is 1st Grand Slam!! We were at Jason's aunts funeral in Pensacola!! He always plays better when we aren't there!! I love this group of boys! They play so good together and get along so well too! I feel like I have another 9 children when we are with them!

All hit Home runs in this tournament

Ben also started playing travel ball this year! The first tournament we played in was awful. We got the pants beat off us! But we came back in our second tournament and won the whole thing! What made this one even better was that we got to play in Troy! He too has a great group of kids on his team! We are truly blessed with 2 travel ball teams of great players and parents!! I just love watching them play!!
